Is this man a genius? You have to hope so because he’s designed half the tracks on this year’s Formula One calendar; and cars, irrespective of their performance, are only as spectacular as the tracks around which they’re racing. Monaco is utterly captivating, Bahrain less so – you get the idea.

Homegrown design elements look set to enhance brand competitiveness, while the on-the-ground knowledge garnered by Chinese studios is becoming invaluable feeding back into global companies. It's clear therefore that Nissan Design China (NDC) will play an increasingly important role in Nissan's global design network.
The new Kia Cadenza
The Cadenza is the production version of the KND-5 Concept Kia showed earlier this year and is an A6 sized luxury saloon which will go on sale around the world in 2010. Designed in Europe – by a team headed by an ex Audi designer – the Cadenza is a very convincing up-market saloon aimed at taking on the German offerings. And it looks like it has the goods to deliver on the promise.
